Rack chrome plating for industrial components

Galvanik performs rack chrome plating on industrial metal components. Rack processing allows every piece to be fixed individually, ensuring finish quality, uniform appearance and control of the single component during the entire galvanic cycle.

What is rack chrome plating

Uniform chrome finish, single-piece control

Rack chrome plating is an electroplating treatment in which each component is fixed individually on a dedicated frame before immersion in the baths. This mode delivers a bright and uniform chrome finish, avoiding contact marks and masking typical of mass processes. It is the right choice for parts destined to tapware, fittings, small parts and components where the final appearance is an integral part of the product.

Features

Why choose rack chrome plating

Bright, uniform finish

Homogeneous chrome appearance on components with articulated geometries and visible surfaces.

Process control

Bath parameters and galvanic cycle monitored to ensure consistency between batches.

Diversified racks

Dedicated racks to handle components of different sizes and quantities while preserving finish quality.

Typical applications

Where rack chrome plating is used

Suited to components where finish, aesthetics and consistency between pieces are decisive for the final product.

  • Tapware and sanitary components
  • Metal fittings
  • Precision small parts
  • Pipes, traps and flexible hoses
  • Industrial decorative components
  • Visible technical parts

Indicative thicknesses

Nickel and chrome per technical specification

Coating thicknesses are calibrated according to customer requests and component characteristics. Indicatively, the nickel layer sits between 6 µm and 10 µm, while the chrome deposit is indicatively around 0.15 µm, according to the required technical specifications.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which materials do you chrome-plate on the rack?+

We mainly work with brass, copper and bronze. Other compatible materials can be evaluated on request after a technical analysis.

Do you handle recurring industrial production?+

Yes. Racks and cycles are organised around the customer's production rate, maintaining consistency between batches.

What information is needed for a quote?+

Material, quantity, photos or technical drawing, required finish and desired lead times. Every quote is tailored.

Do you have components to rack-chrome-plate?

Send us material, quantity, required finish, photos or technical drawings and desired lead times. We'll reply with a tailored technical assessment.
