Rack plating for industrial components
Galvanik performs rack-based electroplating: every component is fixed individually on dedicated frames, allowing greater control of the single piece and special care for the quality of the finish. A processing mode suited to technical and decorative parts and to recurring industrial production runs.

Components fixed individually, single-piece control
In rack plating, components are hooked one by one onto dedicated metal frames before being immersed in the galvanic baths. This approach makes it possible to control the position of every piece during the treatment, to avoid contact between components and to achieve a more uniform finish than mass plating. It is the ideal mode for high-value parts, complex geometries and production runs where the quality of the single component is an essential part of the product.
Why choose rack plating
Single-piece control
Each component is handled individually throughout the entire galvanic cycle, reducing contact and masking defects.
Finish quality
Uniform distribution of the metal deposit even on complex geometries and visible surfaces.
Dedicated racks
Racks designed around the component, quantity and production rate required by the customer.

Frequently asked questions about rack plating
What's the difference between rack plating and barrel plating?+
In rack plating each piece is fixed individually: the position of the component is controlled and a more uniform finish is achieved. It is the right choice when the quality of the single piece is a priority. Galvanik works exclusively with rack plating.
Which treatments do you provide on the rack?+
Galvanik performs rack nickel plating and rack chrome plating on brass, copper and bronze components.
Is rack plating suited to small and medium batches?+
Yes. Our diversified racks let us handle both small batches and significant production runs with proper planning and lead times.
How is a quote defined?+
Tailored, based on material, geometry, quantity, required finish and lead times. We do not apply standard price lists.
Do you have a component to rack-plate?
Send us material, quantity, required finish, photos or technical drawings and desired lead times. We'll reply with a tailored technical assessment.
